90Nine is a group of people looking for one more. One more person in need. One more person who needs to talk. One more person who needs encouraged.
Our Motivation
Jesus tells a parable about a shepherd who has a good flock of 100 sheep. They are doing well, until one wanders off. The shepherd leaves the 99 behind and pursues the one. Likewise, we are grateful for how God takes care of so many – but we pursue anyone who can relate to being lost, needs help or encouragement, and with whom we can be a reminder that God does exist – and his care and concern extends to all people.
Why did I receive a gift?
We like to give out small gift cards, change to help with your laundry or other modest items. We know these are small expressions – but they are our way of breaking through another boring day and reminding those in our community that there is good in the world, and that it comes from God.
